JOB SUMMARY
Lincoln James Capital is seeking suitably qualified applicants to fill the position of Loan Originator. This role requires a self-motivated and energetic hunter who is expected to collect and prepare all the materials needed to secure commercial real estate mortgage for clients. The ideal candidate will possess keen attention to detail and will also be capable of evaluating credit worthiness by processing loan applications and documentation within specified limits. This candidate should also be able to lead out in client interviews to determine financial eligibility and feasibility. They will apply all appropriate ratios and metrics and set up debt payment plans for clients. The focus of this job is on producing loan volume. Precise, consistent work output is essential requiring patience and a willingness to handle and complete one task at a time.
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Ability to close loans. Production.
- Provide exceptional customer service to customers by responding to all inquiries and advising customers of their options and our loan process
- Structure loan scenarios including terms, rates, and fees to create a visual picture for clients
- Knowledge of basic commercial real estate fundamentals; able to identify major real estate owners and investors in the market
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills, with excellent written and oral communication skills
- Excellent time management and organizational skills and ability to adapt and prioritize, meeting deadlines, in a fast-paced work environment
- Work independently and within a team to build relationships and interact effectively with business partners
- Superior analytical and computer skills and proficient with the Microsoft Office suite
- A desire to work in a diverse, collaborative, and driven professional environment
- Maintain confidentiality, utilize judgment, and work with minimal supervision
- Ability to perform technical/analytical work, within established systems, standards, and procedures
- Ability to make decisions within clearly defined job scope, based on de fined policies and procedures and with the support of management
EDUCATIONAL AND SKILLS REQUIREMENTS
- One (1) to Three (3) years of experience in commercial real estate preferred
- Bachelor’s degree required (preferred major in Real Estate, Finance, Economics or Equivalent business experience)
- Advanced knowledge of commercial real estate fundamentals at the property and loan level
- In depth understanding of the commercial real estate capital markets
- Entrepreneurial acumen, willing to build a client base from the ground up
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
- Work independently and within a team to build relationships and interact effectively with business partner
